What is a cosmetic tattoo?Cosmetic tattooing, also called permanent makeup, is an art and science of which employs tattoos as a means of producing designs that resemble makeup. The design is created using a small machine or hand tool that implements pigment into the skin to echance natural feratures. The pigment remains in the skin may fade over time due to factors such as environment, aging, health or because of the lightness of particular pigments used. Cosmetic tattooing can help: - Busy people save time by removing the need to apply makeup on a daily basis - Correct a physical issue or flaw such as over plucked eyebrows and eyebrow scars - Women who struggle to apply their makeup because of poor vision or watery eyes - If you want your makeup to last as sometimes makeup doesn’t even last for a full day or for an entire event

Does it hurt?A topical numbing cream is used before and/or during the process depending on your procedure in order to reduce irritation and swelling. Each persson's pain threshold is different, so please keep this in mind! Most clients describe the it feeling like light scratching and is more ‘annoying’ than painful.
-
How long does the procedure take?Feather Touch brows take roughly 2 - 3 hours Ombre Powder brows take roughly 3 - 4 hours Combination brows take roughly 3 - 4 hours Keep in mind that all brows are different and in some cases it might take longer or shorter than the expected time frame. Sending a photo of your eyebrows with no make up on beforehand can help us estimate the rough time frame.

What can I expect while my brows are healing?Your brows will appear dark and intense at first, but do not stress! The colour will fade down once it has healed by about 30% than what it looked like after the intial appointment. They will be at their darkest the first few days and any swelling or redness will go down within 48 hours. The area will feel a bit tender right after the treatment and this can last up to 24 hours. As the area heals, you will experience itching, scabing and flaking which is all completely normal and a good sign! While healing, your brows will fade to a much lighter colour. Please keep in mind that everyone's skin will heal differently! The true colour of the tattoo will not be revealed until about 4 weeks after the treatment. If you have any questions or concerns during the healing process, do not hesitate to ask!

What factors can affect the longetivity of my cosmetic tattoo? These factors can affect how long your cosmetic tattoo lasts for: Excessive sun exposure - fades the colour of the pigment Lighter pigment choice - fades quicker than a darker coloured pigment Bleeding during the treatment - pigment does not retain in the skin properly when there is a lot of bleeding (please read the pre-care in the 'care' tab on the website as blood thinners, alcohol cosumption and certain medications can cause excess bleeding)

Should I get a wax and tint prior to my appointment?A wax and tint is not necessary prior to your appointment as we shape your brows accordinly. However, if you have quite bushy eyebrows please get a wax 1 week prior. If you tint, dye or henna your eyebrows, refrain from tinting them within 1 week of your appointment.
